We love to get donations of Apple products, especially iPads and iPhones, but there are some very important guidelines which allow us to make best use of them.
1 – You must make sure that you remove your Apple iCloud account from the device. You can find some information from Apple on how to do that here.
2 – If you can’t operate the device for any reason, then you can still remove the device from your account by following the information here.
3 – Please write your email address on to a piece of paper or post-it note and attach it to the device you are donating.
4 – If you have the charging cables or charger, please include it if you can. It isn’t essential, but it helps us a lot and we make sure that all of our devices are checked for safety before they are sent out again.
If you aren’t able to do the things above we may not be able to take repurpose your device! Apple devices are built this way to deter theft and if the device is not correctly removed from your account, it is locked in such a way that it cannot be made useful to anyone again. You must do this for every Apple device you wish to donate.
